The Power of Awareness and Presence is a workshop designed to connect you solidly to your own unique internal state and awaken your senses to the sphere of awareness.
Presence is the thing which is most personal and unique to each of us and yet is that which we are unable to experience. We can only truly know our presence from the experience and feedback of others. Flexing our awareness muscles can take us closer to knowing our own presence.
“We might say it this way: the success of our actions as change-makers does not depend on What we do or How we do it, but on the Inner Placefrom which we operate.” https://www.presencing.com/theoryu
In other words, it is our own interior condition, our moment-to-moment internal state, which is key to everything about us and our lives. In todays’ distracted world connecting to one’s own internal wisdom and knowing while managing our responses to the inputs around us can be challenging, sometimes impossible. Developing our facility with this kind of beingness can be hard; it is done, in part, by journeying alone and is aided by the support and feedback of like-minded fellow travelers.
“Connecting to one’s best future possibility and creating powerful breakthrough ideas requires learning to access the intelligence of the heart and the hand—not just the intelligence of the head.” http://www.dailygood.org/story/450/uncovering-the-blind-spot-of-leadership-c-otto-scharmer/ The Power of Awareness and Presence is a workshop designed to explore our awareness of that Inner Place and our Presence, by accessing that intelligence of the heart, gut, hand, and head. Horses are excellent assistants at taking us deep into that inner place fast.
By taking this workshop you will be powerfully changed by
Direct and real feedback about your awareness and presence from the horses and other participants.
Insight and awareness into how your presence affects those around you.
Understand when your awareness may be blocked by limiting beliefs or physical conditions.
Learn a model to ground yourself and enhance awareness of self, other, and the environment
Engage your intuition in play with the horses.
As prey animals, horses have naturally heightened awareness and sensitivity to the presence of others, be they humans or other animals. They provide us with instant feedback about our presence, our level of awareness, and our effectiveness in how we are showing up and interacting with what is happening around us. Horses are masterful at heightening our sensitivities so that we are able to develop and expand our natural abilities as leaders, coaches, and facilitators for our clients in order to help powerfully move ourselves and assist others to move forward in their lives.
We will spend the day immersed in the competencies of awareness and presence, engaging with the horses in simple ground exercises, as well as group and team debriefs. Each participant can expect to have a deeply personal and insightful experience with the horses. We will share experiences through direct interaction, group discussion and feedback in teams, and apply what we learn to gain a better understanding of our presence as coaches. The experiential nature of the work and the debriefing enables us to fully embody the learning and experience improvement that can be sustained beyond the workshop.
Be prepared to be surprised, moved, filled with wonder, brought to tears, and grateful for the day’s invaluable experience. Enrolment is limited so book early! Ticket includes lunch and refreshment breaks. There is a $150 non-refundable deposit.
Coaches seeking CCEUs will receive 6 Core and 3 resource CCEUs through ICF for an additional fee of $30.*
